Friend told me my cold brew was too bitter and it turns out I was grinding too fine

I had been using a medium grind for years and thought it was fine. After she said it tasted harsh I switched to a coarse grind on my Baratza Encore and the difference was night and day. Anyone else have a simple fix that improved their coffee big time?

Honestly I feel like people get way too worked up about grind size. Like yeah coarse is better for cold brew but was it really that undrinkable before? It's coffee not rocket science.

Wait @sarah_hart did you actually try making cold brew with fine grounds or are you just guessing here? Because I tried that once and it came out super bitter and cloudy, like mud water honestly.
