Hit 1,000 cups on my home notebook this morning

Ive been keeping a little log of every coffee I make at home for about 4 years now. Nothing fancy, just a spiral notebook where I write the date, the beans I used, and how I brewed it. This morning I hit 1,000 entries exactly. That number surprised me because I never thought Id stick with it that long. The notebook shows all my phases, like when I was heavy into pour overs with my v60 or when I went through a 3 month french press phase. Its pretty cool seeing how my taste changed over time. Does anyone else keep a log of their coffee or just kind of wing it every morning?

Wait, your notebook is actually neat and organized? lol mine is basically a crime scene of coffee stains and scribbles. Ive been keeping a "log" for maybe 2 years now but its really just a pile of receipts and random sticky notes with dates and bean names scrawled on them. I lose half of them so my count is probably way off. The v60 to french press phase is so real though. I went through that exact thing but then I accidentally broke my french press and just gave up on logging for like 6 months. 1,000 is insane, thats like serious dedication. I bet your notebook smells amazing though, like old coffee grounds and victory.

Yeah the losing half of it part hits too close to home, I think I went through three different notebooks before I found one that actually stuck around for more than a month. The french press breaking thing is rough too, I switched to a cheap plastic v60 after I dropped my last one and never went back. That notebook smell comment made me laugh, its honestly closer to stale despair than victory at this point.
