Hot take: I think rinsing beans before grinding actually ruins the flavor

Everyone online swears by the RDT (Ross droplet technique) to stop static, but after 400 pounds of beans through my setup at home in Austin, I've noticed it always mutes the bright notes especially on light roasts. Has anyone else found that the tiny bit of static is worth keeping the full taste?

Honestly sounds like you're just missing the drama of a good static shock with your morning caffeine.

Doubt it's worth overthinking that much.
