Ice bath for cold brew finally clicked after 3 burnt pitchers
I used to just leave my grounds in the fridge overnight in a big jar and strain it in the morning, but it always came out bitter and cloudy. Last week I tried the ice bath method where you brew hot and strong, then dump it over a pitcher full of ice to chill fast. It stopped the over-extraction cold, and the flavor is way cleaner, no more muddy bottom. Has anyone else switched methods and noticed a difference in clarity or bitterness?
