Pro tip: my grinder jammed mid pour at 6:40am and I had to make a judgment call
Was rushing to get out the door Monday when my hand grinder locked up halfway through a 20 gram dose, so I had roughly 10 grams of coarse and 10 of dust. I dumped it all in the V60 and brewed it anyway, and it came out muddled, sour up front and bitter on the back end, maybe a 90 second drawdown. My buddy swears you should toss the whole thing and start over, says a bad cup ruins your whole read on a new bean. I went the other way and started weighing out my dose the night before so the morning is just grind and go. Which side are you on, dump and restart or push through and learn something? Curious if anyone keeps a backup hand grinder for mornings like this.
