Read that 40% of coffee drinkers in the US use a drip machine still

Honestly saw that stat on some coffee blog last week and it kinda stopped me. My grandpa used the same Mr. Coffee for like 20 years straight. Made me think about how everyone's chasing fancy pour over setups these days but most folks just want a simple cup. Do you think the whole specialty coffee scene is just a bubble or here to stay?

My buddy Dan spent 80 bucks on a Japanese pour over setup and now it's sitting in his cupboard collecting dust. He just uses the office Keurig every morning instead.

Oh man, that is such a bummer! I actually went through almost the same thing with a french press I bought. What finally worked for me was I just told myself I'd use it one time on a Saturday morning when I had nowhere to be. I put on some music and made it a whole little ritual instead of just trying to make coffee fast. Once I did that, I realized the taste was way better and it felt nice to slow down. Now I only use it on weekends or days off, but I actually look forward to it. Maybe your buddy just needs to make it an event instead of a chore.
