Spent 3 months trying to dial in a French press with pre-ground grocery store coffee and then got a cheap hand grinder last week and it completely changed how my morning cup tastes, how long did it take you guys to realize grinding fresh was the real secret?
I was at Target buying beans last Wednesday and this older guy in line behind me said "you know that pre-ground stuff goes stale in like 4 days right?" so I grabbed a $20 hand grinder on a whim and now I can't believe I was drinking basically brown water for years, has anyone else had that moment where one person's comment totally flipped your coffee game?

Oh my gosh yes, that's exactly how it happened for me too! It's wild how one random comment can completely rewire how you look at something you do every single day. I think it's part of this bigger thing I've noticed where we're all just sleepwalking through our routines until someone calls out the one little thing we've been doing wrong. Like, I was the same with my drip machine, using old beans and treating it like a chore, and then a guy at a farmers market told me to try a pour-over with fresh ground stuff, and boom, my whole morning feels different now. It's funny how often the biggest secrets are hiding in plain sight.

Pre-ground is basically coffee dust. Fresh grind made me realize I'd been drinking sad bean water for a decade.
