Went to that new coffee shop on 3rd street and came home frustrated

Stopped by Bean Barista on 3rd yesterday morning before my shift. Waited 12 minutes for a regular drip coffee while they fumbled with some fancy latte art for one person. The barista didn't even say hi or sorry for the wait, just slid my cup over. Has anyone else noticed these trendy spots care more about looks than just making a decent cup fast?

Yeah isn't it wild how they spend all that time on one drink while everyone else waits? I used to defend those places but after waiting 10 minutes for black coffee last week I totally get your point now.

Brooo I feel this so hard lol. Like I get that craft drinks take time but when you're just sitting there watching the barista make one latte for 10 minutes while the drip coffee is literally right there it's maddening. They could easily just pour a cup and hand it to you while they finish the fancy stuff but nope. I swear some places do it on purpose to look busy or something. Makes me miss the old coffee shops where you got your coffee in 30 seconds and got on with your day.
