My messy ink sketch today actually looked better than my clean one
I spent 20 minutes on a tidy bird sketch this morning, then redrew it in 5 minutes with smudged, shaky lines during my lunch break. The messy one had way more life and movement, and I'm wondering if anyone else sees this in their own doodles too, or if I just got lucky with the timing?

Learned this the hard way when I kept trying to fix a drawing of my cat. Kept erasing and redoing the lines until it looked stiff and dead. Then I gave up and just scribbled fast without caring and somehow the shape actually looked right. Something about moving quick stops your brain from overthinking every stroke. The shaky lines show where your hand was going, and that energy comes through even if it's not technically perfect.
