Quick doodle trick that actually fixed my messy lines
I kept smudging my ink sketches until I tried drawing with my non-dominant hand for the loose parts first. Has anyone else tried switching hands to loosen up their doodles?

Ngl I've noticed that in sports too, switching your weak side first just kinda unlocks better flow.

Read somewhere that ambidextrous artists often have looser sketch lines.

Yeah, "looser sketch lines" really hits home for me. I'm about as coordinated as a baby giraffe with my non-dominant hand, so my sketches usually look like a spider fell into an inkwell. But I get what they're saying - when I try to draw left-handed, the lines are so wobbly and uncertain they end up having this accidental looseness that looks almost intentional. My right-handed stuff is way too tight, like I'm trying to write a parking ticket with a ruler. Take this with a grain of salt though, I'm definitely not an artist by any stretch - just someone who doodles badly in meetings.
