Quick sketch session nearly ruined my phone last week

I was sitting at the kitchen table last Tuesday doing a quick doodle of my kid's sippy cup with a cheap ballpoint pen. Got really into it and I guess I left the cap off, because when my 4 year old ran past and knocked my arm, the pen rolled right off the table and landed nib-down on my phone screen. Left this nasty blue blob right over the selfie camera that took me like 10 minutes to scrub off with alcohol wipes. The sketch itself was just a lopsided cup anyway, not even worth saving to my gallery. Anyone else ever had a doodle session turn into a cleaning disaster?

Man, that's rough! I've been there with ink drips, but my worst was with a sharpie. I was sketching a quick map for a friend and didn't realize the cap wasn't on tight. When I went to set it down, the whole tip just exploded ink all over my jeans and the edge of my coffee table. What actually worked for me was hitting the spot with hand sanitizer first, then a little dish soap. It took like three rounds but it got it out way better than alcohol wipes did. Did you try anything else besides the wipes before it finally came off?

Bet you could've sold that pen as modern art for more than the phone cost.

@milessmith that pen art would've been worth more than the whole phone.
