That $15 sketchbook I bought on a whim turned out to be a dud

I picked up a cheap spiral-bound sketchbook at a discount store last week for 15 bucks, thinking it would be fine for quick doodles. But the paper is so thin my pen bleeds through to the next page every time, and it's driving me crazy. Has anyone found a decent budget sketchbook under 30 dollars that actually handles ink well?

and let's be real, you're paying for the name on the package more than the paper itself. i have a ream of copy paper from the office supply store that is honestly not much different and cost like three dollars. i'm not saying it's a scam but i'm also not saying it's not a scam.
