Tried sketching a portrait during my lunch break and it came out looking like a potato

Spilled coffee all over my doodle pad halfway through, then tried to salvage it with some shading and now the face looks like a lumpy vegetable. Has anyone else had a drawing session just totally fall apart on them?

Oh yeah, @benclark, coffee spills are basically just free texture at this point.

Stop treating a coffee spill like it ruined your life, it's a doodle on a napkin or whatever. Half the time my sketches turn into weird shapes and I just call it abstract expressionism or something. You probably put too much pressure on yourself to make it perfect when it's just a lunch break thing.
