Vent: Bought a $12 set of gel pens for quick sketches and they dried out in a week.
Went through three browns and two grays just doodling in my notebook before lunch on day two, total waste of money for something that was supposed to be easy to use has anyone else had that happen with those cheap art packs?

Three of the colors in one set I bought were basically empty from the start, the black had maybe two good lines before it went scratchy. Those cheap sets are basically a lottery where you lose most of the time. The thing is even the name brand gel pens dry out faster than ballpoints if you leave the cap off for more than a minute. But at least with a single Pilot G2 you know exactly what you're getting for five bucks. I learned the hard way that those multi-pack deals are just dumping ground for factory rejects half the time.

Oh man, that sucks. Yeah, I've been there with those cheap art packs. For quick sketches, stick with something like Papermate Flair pens or even the basic Bic ballpoints. They're cheap and actually last. The gel ones in those sets are a total gamble, sometimes they're dry before you even open the pack. You're better off grabbing a single pen that works than a whole set of duds.
