Check your cat's water fountain pump before it dies silently
Last month our cat Milo stopped drinking from his fountain and I thought he was just being picky. Took him to the vet and found out he was mildly dehydrated because the pump had been running weak for days without me noticing. The motor finally gave out completely on Sunday morning in Omaha, and the fountain was full of slimy gunk that I had missed. Has anyone else dealt with a quiet pump failure like this, or do you just replace the whole unit every 6 months?

slimy gunk" means the pump died weeks ago, not days. That gunk takes time to build up.
