Finally got my cat a water fountain and she actually drinks now
I spent $35 on one of those ceramic cat water fountains from Amazon after my vet said my cat was borderline dehydrated. She ignored her bowl for two years but the running water got her interested in like 5 minutes. It filters the water too so I don't have to change it every day like before. Has anyone else had a picky pet that only likes moving water?

I bought the same kind of ceramic fountain on a whim and my cat went from ignoring her bowl to acting like she's a wild animal at a watering hole. The funny thing is, I think it's a power thing for her. Like she knows the moving water is fancier than what the dog gets. Spent two years worrying about her drinking enough, and all it took was a $35 Amazon impulse buy to fix it. Vet bills would have cost way more, so I call it a win even if it makes me look like a sucker.

Yeah my cat started drinking from the toilet after we tried three different bowls so I feel your pain.
