Found a cheap trick for keeping my dog's leash untangled at the dog park

I was over by the big field at Riverside Park last weekend and kept having to stop every 2 minutes to untwist my leash. Some guy with a husky saw me struggling and showed me this simple thing - just clip the leash handle to the D-ring on your dog's harness when you're not holding it. Sounds dumb but I never thought of it. Now I don't have that tangled mess anymore. Anybody else got a random park hack that saved your walk?

@wesley385 exactly what I was thinking lol but no it's actually for hooking the leash to so it makes total sense. I started doing the same thing after someone showed me at the small dog area by the creek. Now I just clip it there when I'm letting my pup sniff around and it stays flat on her back instead of getting all twisted. The only thing is you gotta be careful if your dog likes to spin in circles because then you end up with a weird twisted handle situation anyway. But honestly for normal walking it's been a game changer.

Wait, isn't that D-ring meant for clipping the leash to in the first place?
