I used to think those cat water fountains were a dumb waste of money

My cat, Mochi, would barely drink from her bowl and I was worried. My vet in Toledo said to try a fountain, so I got a cheap one for about 25 bucks. After two days of ignoring it, she now drinks from it constantly, like 10 times a day. She just needed to see the water moving to trust it. Anyone else have a pet that needed a specific kind of bowl or gadget to drink properly?

So Mochi just needed her own personal water feature to feel fancy? My cat turned his nose up at a ceramic bowl until I got one wide enough that his whiskers don't touch the sides. He acts like a prince who can't have his fancy face feelers squished.

Yeah, my cat does that too, like I'm personally offending her with the wrong dishware. I had to get a special shallow bowl just so she'd drink water without giving me that judgmental stare. Sometimes I feel like I'm running a tiny, furry hotel with very picky guests.

Actually, it's the whisker stress thing that makes them hate deep bowls.
