Just realized my cat was hiding a whole toy stash under the couch

I was cleaning under the couch yesterday and pulled out a graveyard of catnip mice and jingle balls, like 12 of them. My gray tabby, Mochi, sat there watching me with this look like I was stealing his treasure. My sister said he's been hoarding them there for months and I never noticed. Anyone else find a secret pile of toys your pet stashed away?

TWELVE of them? That's a whole OPERATION he's been running under your nose. My cat once had a single crumpled receipt she guarded like it was solid gold, but a dozen toys is some serious dedication to the stash. Mochi is clearly a very committed collector.
