My cat decided the laundry basket was a better bed than her $40 cat bed...

I was folding clothes in the living room when my cat Mochi jumped right into the basket of clean towels and started kneading them like dough. She knocked over the whole pile and got her fur all over everything I just washed. I tried to shoo her out but she just gave me that blank stare and purred louder. Ended up rewashing the whole load because of all the cat hair. Has anyone else's pet completely ignored expensive beds for something like a cardboard box or a pile of laundry?

Stop buying expensive cat beds. Seriously, just stop. I learned that lesson after my cat slept in a shipping box for three months while their fancy bed collected dust. They want your scent on things, not some polyester cushion from a pet store. A cardboard box with a towel you wore that day will always win over any bed you overpay for. Just toss an old t-shirt in a box and save your cash.
