My dog found a new way to get stuck in the kitchen
My beagle, Gus, wedged himself between the fridge and the wall trying to get a rogue piece of popcorn. I tried pulling him out for ten minutes, but he just panicked. Finally, I slid a baking sheet under his belly and used it like a sled to pull him free. He just shook himself off and went back to sniffing the same spot. Has anyone else's pet gotten stuck in a truly dumb spot?

Ryan's story about the tissue box got me. I mean, what is it about pets and getting stuck in things that are clearly too small for them? My friend's dog got his whole head stuck in a pringles can once and just walked around bumping into walls. Did Gus learn anything from the baking sheet rescue, or is he still trying to fit into that same spot?

Used to believe cats were the graceful, smart ones. My cat once got her head stuck in a tissue box and ran full speed into a door. She was fine, just very offended. The baking sheet trick is genius, might need to remember that. Gus sounds like a classic beagle, food motivation overriding all common sense.
