My dog Otis got into the pantry and ate half a bag of flour, then sneezed white clouds all over the living room

This happened Tuesday morning while I was on a call for my kid's school and he slipped past the baby gate in about 4 seconds. By the time I found him, there was flour tracked down the hallway and a white paw print on the couch. I spent 40 minutes vacuuming and he just sat there wagging like he'd done a great job. How do you all keep a determined 70 pound dog out of the pantry, because the gate clearly is not stopping him?
