Ngl, my dog taught me I've been playing fetch wrong for years today.
Honestly, I finally noticed my border collie, Finn, would only bring the ball back halfway until I started running away from him, which made him chase me to complete the return, and has anyone else's pet completely rewritten the rules of a game?

Tbh I used to think fetch was just throwing and waiting for them to bring it back. Finn completely rewired my brain on that. He'd drop the ball at my feet but stare at me like I was missing a step, so I started acting excited and jogging backward, and now he launches it right into my hand every time. Makes me wonder how many other games we're actually doing backwards compared to what they want.
