Showerthought: I wasted $80 on a fancy pet bed my dog ignores
Bought this plush orthopedic bed from Pet Palace for my beagle, Frank. He sniffed it once, then dragged his old, gross blanket onto it. Now he sleeps on the blanket and the bed is just a really expensive blanket holder. Anyone else's pet totally reject the nice thing you bought them?

Mine does the exact same thing. Bought her a fancy cat bed last month. She completely ignored it. Now she sleeps in a crumpled paper bag from the grocery store. They have such weird little priorities. The cheaper the thing is, the more they seem to love it.

It's like they're wired to find the simplest, most boring thing in the room and claim it. @angela687 has it right with the Amazon box... the packaging is always the real gift. Makes you wonder if we're the weird ones for spending money on stuff they don't want. There's a whole lesson in there about how we overcomplicate things trying to make them better. The cat just wants the bag or the box because it's already perfect to them. We keep learning the same expensive lesson.
