Three days for a cat door flap, my dog still wins
Picked up an automated pet flap from the local ACE in Portland because my 70 pound lab mix kept pushing the old one open. Installation said 30 minutes, but the sensor kept triggering on our radiator and the app needed a firmware update twice. Took me three full evenings to get it working, and now the cat just sits and watches it open while my dog barrels through anyway. Anyone else find these smart pet gadgets just create new problems?

Yours took three days too, mine's still winning the cat flap battle.

Still winning the cat flap battle" sounds like a personal victory at this point, honestly. Mine finally gave up and just waits by the door now, like a tiny furry bouncer who checks IDs. I'm pretty sure the flap is now just a decorative hole in the wall.
