Was sure that 15 minute DMV line estimate was garbage, then I got through in 12
Watched the online wait time say 15 minutes last Tuesday in Reno and almost didn't go, but I ended up out the door with my new tags in 12. Now I'm wondering if anyone else has actually had those time estimates hold up or if I just got lucky.

Stunned that you actually beat the estimate, because every single time I have rolled up to a DMV the board said something like 45 minutes and I was standing there for an hour and a half wondering why I even bothered. Twelve minutes is basically a magic trick in my book. The Reno office must have been having a really good day or maybe a bunch of people skipped it because of the same estimate you almost trusted. Your call to go anyway paid off, and now I am half tempted to start believing those numbers, though your mileage may vary. Twice I have seen the wait time be off by more than an hour, so one lucky trip does not mean the whole system works. Still, congrats on the tags, that is a win no matter how you slice it.
