My 6-month coffee shop routine finally paid off in a big way
For half a year I went to Brew House Coffee on Elm Street every Tuesday morning. I just sat there and wrote down three ideas for my small landscaping business. At first it felt like a waste of time because nothing came of those notes. But last month two of those ideas turned into actual jobs worth $1,200 total. The trick was sticking with it even when it felt pointless. Has anyone else had a regular habit that surprised you with results way later?

Wait, it wasn't henderson.oscar who made the original point, that was the person who started the thread. Just wanted to clear that up before you give credit to the wrong person.

Stick with something pointless long enough and the universe starts feeling bad for you. Now I'm rethinking all my abandoned notebooks.

Used to think this was just pointless journaling nonsense honestly. But @henderson.oscar has a point about sticking with things even when they feel dumb in the moment. This post actually made me dig out an old notebook I gave up on after two weeks lol.
