Spent 45 minutes trying to fix a toilet that just needed the handle jiggled a specific way
I kept hearing this faint hissing sound from the guest bathroom (you know the one, where guests always close the door and pretend it doesn't exist). I pulled the tank lid off, adjusted the float arm, moved the chain, even Googled a diagram. After 45 minutes of messing around, my roommate walked in and just jiggled the handle at a right angle and it stopped instantly. Has anyone else had a fix that simple hide from you for way too long?

You ever have that thing happen where you watch a buddy fight a problem for an hour and then you walk up and sneeze and it fixes itself? My friend Dan spent a whole Sunday replacing the thermostat in his truck because the AC wouldnt blow cold. He swapped it out, tested it, nothing. Then his girlfriend gets in, taps the dashboard exactly twice, and the vents start freezing. He just stood there holding the old thermostat like an idiot.

Is it really that serious though, like did he try just turning it off and on first?
