The empty keg at my brother's wedding changed my whole mood
Last Saturday I was running the bar at my brother's reception in Akron and we ran out of pale ale two hours before the toast, so I had to sub in a porter nobody asked for... but people actually loved it and the dance floor got weird in a good way. It made me wonder if I overthink party planning when the best moves are just on the fly. Has anyone else had a backup plan turn out better than the original?

Right, those panic switch-ups can be the best part of a party. Same thing happened at my cousin's BBQ last year, we ran out of burgers and threw on some random sausages. People went nuts for them, way more than the burgers. Funny how the stress makes you just go with it and it works out.

Three bars in my town just started carrying that same porter last month, so you mightve accidentally found the next trend before the brewery even knew. Makes me wonder if the real magic is just not having time to second guess yourself.
