Thought 10,000 steps was nonsense until my watch hit 11,247 on a Tuesday in Tulsa
I used to roll my eyes at the whole step goal thing, mostly because I sit in a chair all day and figured walking was just something my dog needed. Then my sister got me a cheap tracker for my birthday and last Tuesday it buzzed at 11,247 steps, which came from parking far away, walking to lunch instead of driving, and pacing during phone calls I did not want to be on. Has anyone else had a number sneak up on them like that?

A cheap tracker buzzing at 11k just means you moved around more than usual that day, not that some magic number matters. Maybe it's just me but a random Tuesday in Tulsa doesn't suddenly make walking a big deal.
