Vent: Walked past the old library downtown and saw something that made my day.

They finally fixed the broken bench out front where I always sit to eat lunch. I got to sit there today for the first time in months. What's a small change in your area that made you unexpectedly happy?

The city repaved the bike lane on Maple Street last week. It used to be so cracked and bumpy you'd have to swerve into traffic. Now it's smooth as glass. I saw a dad teaching his kid to ride there yesterday without worrying about potholes. That kind of fix just makes the whole street feel nicer.

Yeah I saw that in the local paper, they're finally putting some real money into bike lanes this year.

My buddy wiped out on that old lane last year, bent his wheel rim pretty bad. He rode the new one yesterday and said it felt like a whole different street.
