Coupon clipping used to be my whole Sunday ritual, now it's all apps

Back in 2015 I'd spread the Sunday paper across my kitchen table with scissors and a highlighter, cutting out maybe 20 coupons that barely matched what I actually bought. My local Albertsons in Spokane doubled them on Tuesdays, so I'd plan my whole week around stacking those little slips. Now I just open a couple of apps while I'm in the checkout line and 3 digital coupons pop up automatically for items already in my cart. It's way faster and I save about $35 a month more than before, but I kinda miss the ritual of finding a hidden gem buried on page 12. Anyone else feel like deal hunting lost some of its charm even though it's more efficient now?

My Kroger app literally knows my cereal habit better than my own doctor, which is creepy but saves me 50 cents. Honestly give me back the paper cuts and the thrill of a hidden gem.
