Found out my local Target marks down meat at 7 AM not 7 PM
I always thought the yellow clearance stickers went on at closing time. Turns out I was showing up 12 hours late every single day for months. Stumbled on a Reddit thread where a Target employee spilled the exact markdown schedule for my store in Denver. Now I grab $5 ribeyes for $2.50 before work and my freezer is packed. Anyone else find out their store does markdowns at weird times?

Wait do you know if the app says the markdown times or did you just go off that Reddit post? I started asking the meat department guys directly when they do their first round of markdowns and it saved me so much time. Kroger near me does it at like 9 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays but nobody talks about it. You should check if your store has a dedicated butcher counter too they sometimes have different schedules than the pre-packaged stuff. Best way to find out is just walk up and ask them straight up when they do the markdowns most workers will tell you if you're nice about it.

That's a really good point about just asking the workers directly. I've had that same experience where being polite and straightforward got me way better info than any app or online post ever did. It's nice to hear I'm not the only one who figured out that a friendly conversation is the best way to track down those deals.
