Got banned from the Target on Main Street for price matching too many times

Was at the Target on Main Street last Wednesday and the manager came over while I was checking out. Said I'd price matched 8 items in one trip and that was 'abusing the system.' Told me I couldn't do it anymore there. I wasn't even being shady about it. Just had the Walmart app pulled up on my phone showing the same stuff cheaper. Anyone else ever get flagged for price matching at a store?

Did you have a price match limit listed on the receipt or the store policy somewhere? In my experience, most stores keep that rule quiet until you push it too far.

Used to think price matching was just a nice bonus, not something you could get flagged for. But yeah, 8 items does seem pretty low for a limit. @terryk10 has a point about them keeping that quiet. I got hit with a similar situation at Best Buy last month, tried to match 5 things on a single transaction and they shut it down hard. Made me realize these rules are way stricter than they let on. Changed my whole view on how I handle it now.
