Had a chat with my sister about couponing and it blew my mind

My sister Jenna came over last Saturday and saw me ordering pizza for $25. She casually mentioned she gets the same pizza for $12 using a combo of the app's rewards and a coupon code from a blog she follows. I used to think couponing was for hoarders, but she showed me her phone and she saved $180 last month just on groceries at the Giant near her place in Philly. Anybody else totally slept on how easy those store apps actually are?

$180 last month just on groceries" is wild. My buddy Tim tried to show me his coupon setup and his phone had like four different apps open at once. He saved nine bucks on detergent and I still don't get how he does it.

Four apps open at once" bro that sounds exhausting. I tried using one coupon app once and it kept crashing on me while I was in the checkout line. Ended up just paying full price and feeling dumb. Nine bucks on detergent is decent but man, having to juggle four apps just to get there? That's a whole second job.

The apps are a whole different beast than cutting coupons from the Sunday paper... @mark_price your buddy Tim sounds like he's running a side business out of his phone. Four apps just to save nine bucks on detergent feels like a part time job honestly. Jenna made it look so easy but I bet she's got some secret system she's not telling me about. Still, $180 is $180 and I guess that's why she's the one eating pizza for $12 while I'm over here paying full price like a chump.
