Hit $500 in cashback rewards just from groceries this year and it honestly blew my mind.

I never tracked it before but after adding up all my app rebates and credit card points from buying food, I realized I basically paid for a month of groceries with stuff I would've bought anyway - has anyone else found a category they never expected to save so much on?

Started using a separate card just for gas and groceries a few years back and the cashback stacks up way faster than I expected. I threw all the rewards into a separate account and used it to cover Christmas presents one year without touching my regular budget. It really adds up when you don't touch it and let it sit there. What did you end up doing with your $500?

Man I've been doing the same thing with my Amazon card rewards (the 5% back is just too good to pass up) and I ended up using my "fun money" pile to buy a smoker last summer. It's funny how fast it piles up when you’re not looking at it every month.
