I swore off digital coupons for 2 years until a cashier at a Kroger in Columbus scanned one for me
For the longest time I skipped every digital coupon app because I figured the paper ones clipped right at the shelf were just as good. Last month I was at the Kroger on High Street and forgot my paper stack, so the cashier pulled up the app on her own phone and knocked $11.40 off my $67 order. That one trip made me sit down and actually load the digital deals before every shop, and now I'm saving close to $30 a month. Does anyone else feel like the digital-only deals are quietly beating the paper ones now?
Wondering if anyone's thought about how this cuts both ways, because stores can change digital prices on a whim without you ever seeing it happen. Paper coupons are locked in once they print, but a digital deal can vanish from the app before you even get to checkout. That lack of control bugs me more than the savings impress me.
