Just realized my coupon stacking was actually costing me money
My sister flat out told me last month, 'You're buying stuff you don't need just because you have a coupon for it.' I was using a 20% off code on a new kitchen gadget I'd never use, just to feel like I won. I stopped clipping every single coupon from the mail and now I only look for deals on my actual grocery list. Has anyone else had to break a bad deal-hunting habit?

Spot the same trap with free shipping minimums all the time. I started putting stuff in my cart and then closing the app for an hour. Usually, I realize I don't actually want any of it when I go back. Your sister was right, that "win" feeling is a real scam. Now I ask myself if I'd buy the thing at full price first.

Wait, you almost bought a garlic press?

Watch me almost buy a third phone charger I don't need just to hit that free shipping goal. My cart becomes a weird museum of "maybe" items like decorative soap and a single fancy pen. The funniest part is when I go back later and wonder what kind of late-night brain fog made a garlic press seem urgent. That "win" is just you paying them extra to feel smart.
