My brother-in-law called me a 'coupon coward' for not stacking deals at the grocery store
He showed me his receipt from Kroger last Tuesday where he combined a digital coupon, a paper coupon, and a store sale to get $22 off a $35 order. Anyone else get over the mental block of using multiple discounts at once?

Man, that's just smart shopping, not cowardice!

Look, I get the pride in a good deal, but calling it just smart shopping misses a bigger point. Sometimes you skip buying the thing you actually want because you're scared to spend, even when you can afford it. That's not being smart, it's letting fear make your choices for you. There's a real difference between finding a fair price and never letting yourself have anything nice.

Exactly, @joelt70, it's just being smart with your money. Calling that cowardice is just plain weird. Getting a good deal should make you feel PROUD, not ashamed. Some people act like spending more than you have to is some kind of badge of honor.
