My coupon app double charged me, took 9 calls to fix

Signed up for that grocery savings app last month. First purchase showed a $2.50 discount but my bank statement had the full amount plus a $1 service fee. Called support 4 times, got hung up on twice. Emailed their help desk, waited 5 days. Finally got a human on chat who refunded it in 2 minutes. Now I screenshot every receipt before I leave the store. Has anyone else had their digital coupons not apply right at checkout?
