My local grocery store's app is a joke compared to the Target Circle one
I tried to save on my weekly shop with the Kroger app, but the coupons were for stuff I never buy and the deals were weak. Target Circle gave me $12 off a $60 order of cleaning supplies and paper goods I actually needed. Why do some store apps feel like they're trying to trick you instead of just giving a straight discount?

Right? The "coupons for stuff I never buy" thing is so real. It feels like they're just trying to clear out old stock instead of helping you save.

Ever notice how this happens with streaming services too? They push shows you'd never watch based on your history, just to fill their catalog. It's the same idea, they're not really helping you find good stuff, they're just moving product.

Yeah, that "clear out old stock" feeling is spot on. My grocery app does that with weird yogurt flavors nobody wants. It's like Joel_Butler said about streaming, just pushing what they need to move. I got a coupon for "pumpkin spice Greek yogurt" last week and who is buying that in March?
