Remembering the Sunday paper coupon inserts

Back in maybe 2010, my weekend routine was to get the big Sunday paper just for the coupon inserts. I'd spend an hour cutting them out and sorting them into a little plastic file box. The change came around 2015 when my local grocery store, Food Fair, started their own app with digital coupons you just load to your card. Now I just scroll the app on my phone for five minutes before I go shopping. Does anyone else still use paper coupons, or is it all digital for you now?

I made the switch to digital coupons a few years ago and it just saves so much time. My grocery store's app lets me clip them right from my phone while I'm making my list. The paper ones were fun but I don't miss the scissors and the mess at all.

Digital coupons still track everything you buy though, right? Feels like a trade-off between saving a few bucks and giving up a ton of privacy. The app probably sells your shopping list data.

Yeah, they probably know I bought that weird pickle-flavored soda before I even got home.
