Saw a 'buy one, get one free' sign at the grocery store but the regular price was jacked up by $2. Is that even a real deal?

Honestly, is it that big of a deal? Tbh, I just take the discount I can get and move on.

Yeah, you're totally right, @white.blair. I fell for one of those "extra 10% off the already reduced price" deals last week. Felt like a genius until I did the math and saved like two bucks. They really do get you with the fine print, don't they? Makes you feel clever for spotting the trick, but also a bit silly for getting excited in the first place.
