Shoutout to my local grocery store's clearance bin for saving my dinner plans

I was gonna make tacos last Tuesday but the ground beef was $7 a pound at the regular spot. Walked over to the discount grocery on 5th street and found markdown packs of chicken thighs for $2.50 each. Grabbed 3 of them and froze two, cooked one that night. The difference in price was like 60% less for the same quality, just had to cook it that day. Anyone else got a hidden clearance section they swear by?

Have you ever found something in the clearance section that was a total steal? I grabbed a really nice pair of leather boots once for almost nothing because the box was beaten up. The boots themselves were perfect. It is amazing how much good stuff ends up there if you are patient enough to dig through it.

Rubys80, the beaten up box thing is so real. I got a high end espresso machine once for like 80% off because the corner of the box was crushed. It looked like someone dropped it off a truck but the machine inside was absolutely flawless. It's actually kind of funny how scared stores get of perfect items just because the packaging took a hit.
