Spent 45 minutes trying to stack two grocery store coupons at the register in Akron

The cashier kept saying the system wouldn't let them combine a manufacturer coupon with a store coupon on the same item, and I just stood there holding up the line arguing over 50 cents. Has anyone found a chain that actually lets you stack those without a fight?

Oh man, I had the same thing happen at Giant Eagle until I started shopping at Meijer, they've never given me a hard time about stacking those two types of coupons.

Meijer's coupon policy is actually only manufacturer coupons AND store coupons, @the_mary, not two manufacturer ones stacked.
