The grocery store switcheroo that doubled my receipt total in 6 weeks

I swear I'm not imagining this. Same store, same list of about 20 items, and my bill went from $58 to $112 between mid-February and late March. I started taking photos of my receipts because I thought the cashier was ringing things up wrong. Turns out it's not just eggs and milk either. The store brand pasta sauce jumped from $1.29 to $2.49, and the cereal I buy went up a full dollar. Is this inflation catching up, or is my local Kroger in Columbus just testing what people will pay? Has anyone else tracked their actual basket price month to month, or am I the only weirdo doing this?
