The store brand trash bags I snubbed for 8 years finally won me over

I used to swear by a certain name brand of trash bags, thought the generic ones would rip and leak all over my truck bed. Last month my supplier was out and I grabbed a 30 pack of the store brand at the Kroger in Decatur for $4.50, figured I'd just double bag if needed. Turns out they're thicker than the name brand ones I was paying $9 for, not a single tear after hauling brush and wet leaves. Anyone else find a store brand that beats the expensive stuff in a category you thought was locked down?
