Tuesday was a total grocery flop, but Wednesday saved the week

I planned a big weekly shop at the Aldi on 5th Street and got there right at open, figured I'd beat the crowd. Turns out they reset half the aisles overnight, so I grabbed what I thought were deals and ended up paying full price on three things I normally get discounted. Next day I went back with my receipt and asked about price matching, and they gave me store credit for the difference, which felt like a small win. Has anyone else had luck getting a retroactive price adjustment at their local store, or is that just an Aldi thing?
