Unpopular opinion: buying in bulk at Costco actually cost me more money in the long run
I used to stock up on everything at once from the big box store in Phoenix, but after my 5-pound bag of onions rotted in the pantry three months ago, I now buy produce weekly from the local Mexican market and save about $12 a month on waste alone has anyone else noticed bulk deals backfiring on stuff that goes bad fast?

Funny enough my dad did the same thing with a giant jar of mayo from Sam's Club. It expired before we even dented it so now he just buys the regular size, saves like $3 a month.

Man I feel this in my soul. We did the exact same thing with a bulk jar of pickles from Costco, ended up tossing half of them when they got all weird and soft. It's like you think you're being smart buying big but then you're just paying to throw food away. Sometimes the smaller size really is the better deal when you factor in what actually gets used.

Three dollars a MONTH? That's barely pocket change for a mustard situation.
