Bought a $80 Chinese injector puller set and it snapped on the third job
I was doing a 6.0 Powerstroke injector job last month and figured I'd save a few bucks on a puller set. The slide hammer part bent after two pulls and the third injector wouldn't budge. Had to borrow a Snap-On set from a guy down the road and it popped right out. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. Anyone else have a cheap tool fail at the worst time?

I bought a $60 Amazon special compression tester kit and the hose blew apart at the fitting on the second cylinder, shot air right into my face and scared the hell out of me lol. Borrowed a Matco set from my neighbor the next day and it worked perfectly with zero issues. Some tools you just can't cheap out on, especially when they're under that kind of pressure.

Did you notice any difference in the fittings themselves, like the brass vs. cheap pot metal kind? The better sets usually have thick brass or steel where it threads into the hose, and the cheap ones feel soft like they'll strip any second. That's the part that scares me more than the hose itself, because a blowout at the adapter could send metal shards flying instead of just air.

Heard that @verawhite... a buddy of mine bought a cheap set off eBay and the brass fitting cracked on the third use, shot a little piece of metal into his arm. He still has a scar from it.
